no more monkeys jumping on the bed

With daddy’s back hurting him we decided to go mattress shopping. We talked about a budget range and headed out Saturday. We ended up going to 4 different mattress stores. The 1st bed I really thought I loved at the 1st store was before I looked at the price tag. It was almost 5k and had a layer of diamond dust in it to keep it cool. A.) We are not paying that much money B.) I do not want diamonds in my bed, if I am paying for diamonds I want them on my finger/neck/ears. The 2nd store had better deals, I was jazzed the price was almost ½. Adler was fussy by now, so we got lunch and went home for naps. After naps we were back at it for another 2 stores. Don’t worry we hit “toy stores” = GW, in between so the girls were not completely tortured. The 3rd store the employee was the least knowledgeable and had to call someone every time we asked what a price was nothing was labeled. Everything there was an add-on as well. The overall price was still the lowest. They did not have any in stock and their truck was not coming in till Friday. So we still had till Tuesday to get the same deal. So yet again we walked out. This was not a “brand name store” although I did not want the sales woman to get the commission as she did not sell anything she basically stood around and looked at us then phoned it in. they did have the best deal of the day. On the way home we swung into one last store more on a whim than anything, and glad we did. The gentleman was knowledgeable and was about to cut us the best deal of the day. He also said that store #3 has been known to deliver beds with bedbugs. If that was a sales ploy or the truth it made me decide right there we were not going to be getting anything from them. The girls and I were both over it by then. Adler and I ended up laying on a bed in the front showroom window and watching the cars go by. Now don’t get me wrong in most these stores there were no other customers so the girls were able to run wild for the most part. Getting on and off of beds. Jumping up and down when no one was looking. So we were all pretty tuckered out by the end of day. I don’t even know to this day what bed daddy ended up purchasing. It was down to two and I did not really care which one it was as they were both comfy. I guess I can tell you about it Tuesday as that is when it is due to be delivered. YEA. Best part was Adler was so tuckered out at the end of it she slept in her own bed. All. Night. Long. Win-win!!
